Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon 64-bit freezes intermittently?
Good afternoon, almost immediately after installation, Linux Mint began to freeze. If music was playing during operation, then it continues to play while it hangs. The cursor does not move, only Alt + Ctrl + F (n) works from keyboard combinations. Actually, this is how I get out of the freeze: I switch to console mode and back. What could be the matter and how to fix it?
UPD: Maybe it has something to do with the touchpad?

If the entire GUI freezes - with a probability of 99% the problem is in the video driver.
In the case of Cinnamon, I have not seen a single PC with an Nvidia card where this shell would not hang from time to time.
Have you tried writing a community bug report of the distribution first?
