Linux Mint 17.2 hangs, what should I do?

The thing is. I start the system, everything freezes tightly. The mouse cursor does not move at all.
I climbed on the Internet, they sin on Nvidia. Deleted it didn't seem to help. Now everything seems to be normal, I just connected the power from the socket to the laptop.
Note model: Acer Aspire 5750G
I also want to say that I used it for two days and everything was fine.
When it catches, the responses to CTRL + ALT + F1 hang.

@rishatss

I had this on 17.2.
Then something went wrong and I had to reinstall on 17.3.
And by the way, the problem also disappeared.
PS: Now I would wait 18.

If Intel.
It happened to me, I sat on Debian for several years because of this, until I learned linux ...
Solution:
I got up dead on my laptop with Intel guts on 16.04, and searched for a problem for a long time until I found this:...« If it hangs tightly on distra higher than 14.04.3, then 99% that this is due to Intel graphics. I had regular freezes after 20 - 40 - 90 min. It was decided so sudo gedit /etc/default/grub bring the GRUB_MDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT line to the following form (if nothing was added) GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash intel_idle.max_cstate=1" Save, close. sudo update-grub And reboot. The problem should disappear if Intel HD is to blame. "... IT HELPED ME. I specifically drove for a week without reloading the video in the chrome browser.
