Linux image viewer with preload?

You have to view large images and the default viewer in Ubuntu starts to slow down when you open the next image (they can be large and apparently slow due to scaling). I installed F-Spot, it works faster, but does not solve the problem, because Although he opens the following images quickly, they are blurry and you also have to wait until he scales them and makes them clear.
Actually, there are viewers in nature that will pre-prepare the next image in the list for viewing while I'm watching the current one?

Xiv should be able to do this - starting from version 0.3 it "preload of 2 next images"
PS What is your Linux distribution?

Try Mirage. Takes 590k unpacked. Nice interface and smart.

For me personally, there is nothing better than Eye of Gnome (eog in common). I'm not sure if it loads the following images, but it works like lightning.
