linux. How to disable the logout timer via terminal?

After I gave the password to root (it was necessary to restore sudo, because I accidentally changed the rights to the executable file), some software stopped working, including the power manager. I figured out the brightness adjustment (I write the brightness value through the console directly to /sys/class/backlight/intel_backlight/brightness), but I can’t google how to turn off the timer for automatic logout. Is there any similar file for this, or a console utility?

I wonder how setting a password on root could do this.
Maybe you have corrected some other file)?
