Letsencrypt generation without stopping NGINX?

Is it possible somehow to generate a certificate without stopping the web server? Maybe the port needs to be changed?

It's possible, I'll allow it.
For all domains I use this location included in the config of each

location /.well-known/acme-challenge {
             alias /srv/www/.well-known/acme-challenge;
}

And
for primary generation, and then renew calmly when you need to update (well, or hang renew in cron).
