LCD monitor ripples

There is a Samsung laptop to which an external 23 "Samsung LCD monitor is connected. For a year, this whole bunch worked on the basis of Windows and the monitor picture was clear.

I installed Ubuntu on the NG. Ubuntu did not automatically recognize the resolution of the large monitor, and for about an hour the large monitor worked in "incorrect resolution". An hour later I made all the settings, and everything worked perfectly.

But after loading Windows later, ripples appeared on the large monitor in the form of 3 horizontal stripes, which has not disappeared for a week now ...

Has anyone encountered this?

Check the video signal cable, it can be loose and coming off somewhere. Try another cable. Try connecting via a DVI -> D-Sub adapter (paradoxically, in some cases, such a feint improved the final image for me).

I had a similar garbage with a laptop - some hellish interference went through the network, they appeared only when working from the network. You may also have network problems.
