Laravel middleware('auth:api'). How to disable redirect?

I use the standard middleware, check if the user is authenticated

Route::middleware('auth:api')->get('/user', function (Request $request) {
    return $request->user();
});

Such a problem, with unsuccessful authentication, a redirect to the previous link occurs, which I don’t need at all in the rest api. I just want to return json message and statuscode
