Laptop won't turn off?

Good day, not so long ago I installed the Elementary Os 3 Linux distribution for myself. I really liked this system, set it up for myself, installed gnome-terminal instead of pantheon, cleaned everything, deleted unnecessary applications through synaptic, in general I was satisfied with life. But there was a problem, when the laptop is turned off, the system tries to shut down, but cannot, it feels like it freezes, I suspect that some processes that it is unable to complete are interfering with it.
The question is, can I somehow fix this situation?
PS I came to the world of Linux a little over half a year ago, so I don’t know much
