Laptop or tablet?

Help me choose, I’ve already broken my whole head, between a spherical laptop on R5, 8Gb RAM and 256 SSD and IPad Air 2020 on 64Gb with this fashionable pen of theirs. The usage scenario is viewing / reading various programming courses (I start learning python at my leisure), occasionally remote access to a PC, moving files in the cloud, trying 2D drawing and pixel art. It will not be taken out of the house often, it will not be required at work, the maximum is to read the instructions. A normal desktop PC is available.
I understand that I'm trying to choose from two completely different devices, but this is how it happened -_-
I hope for your help, because completely confused.

iPad of course. Since you already have a computer and you also want to draw, an iPad with a stylus is the one.

The choice between laptop and tablet as device classes is a choice between screen content management methods. What is more convenient for you - tapping with your finger or clicking with the cursor through the mouse? Asking this question, I, of course, know that tablet OS also allow you to work through the mouse, but for some reason this has not taken root in tablets.
I myself am a categorical supporter of laptops, because, firstly, the mouse positions the cursor much more accurately (and this is important for me), and secondly, the functionality of Windows (and its analogues) is much wider than the functionality of Android (and its analogues).
