laptop graphics card cooler problem
Hello! I have a laptop with Nvidia Optimus technology (Acer Aspire 5750G). The problem is that when the Nvidia graphics card is disabled (only Intel works), the cooler stops spinning. That is, the laptop heats up, and quite well, almost up to 85 C. As soon as I turn on the Nvidia card, the cooler immediately starts working and the temperature of the laptop starts to drop. This has been seen more than once on Windows 7 and Debian GNU/Linux Jessie. Before that, this was not the case. What is the actual problem? Why does the cooler stop working when the Nvidia card is disconnected? Thanks for the answer!

Most likely the problem is in the drivers, did you install them from the official website of Acer?
