Kubernetes still in alpha?

I decided to smoke kubernetes, I read the docks, but they write there that the kuber is still in alpha and they don’t recommend it for production, is this true or am I not understanding something about the versioning of the kuber?

You misunderstand. Kubernetes is a production-ready system (see this series of articles if in doubt), but some of its features are in alpha version (first they get into the release, and in the next version [sometimes after several], as a rule, they are brought to beta, then get GA status). The article you link to is generally talking specifically about the kubeadm utility and its maturity (as the subsection is called: “kubeadm Maturity”), and not Kubernetes in general.

on the one hand, yes, alpha,
on the other hand, back in 1.5, when initializing the cluster, they wrote "kubeadm is in alpha, please do not use it for production clusters"
in 1.10, there is no such warning anymore.
In any case, use at your own peril and risk, no one guarantees you anything.
