Komodo Edit 8.5 - why doesn't transferring settings to another folder work?

Good evening. You need to synchronize Komodo Edit 8.5 editor settings on multiple computers. To do this, I decided to use the cloud and the standard Komodo settings.
In the settings I tried to change the variables and restart Komodo. The folder is not created at the new address. I tried to manually create a folder - the files in it are not created either.
KOMODO_USERDATADIR
USERPROFILE
PUBLIC
HOMEPATH
APPDATA
LOCALAPPDATA
What am I doing wrong? Based on their FAQ, the settings should appear at the new address KOMODO_USERDATADIR

Very interesting, I made a bat file
@echo off
set KOMODO_USERDATADIR=D:\testKOMODO
START ko.exe
And the settings are created. Why can not work through the program settings?
