Knowledge base on top of Github?

Tell me, maybe there are some add-ons for Github or third-party applications that allow you to use github as a backend for storing various manuals and development documentation.
- Need to be able to attach pdf/docx documents
- Search by articles
- Documents in markdown
Options that I see now:
1) Store everything as issues (search and attachments are supported by github itself)
2) Store documents in the wiki and upload pdf/doc as assets in project source code
3) Store everything in markdown inside the project and use some sort of builder (jekyll, middleman)

I can’t tell you specifically, I would start from the capabilities of the GitHub API and, for example, Packagist .
The idea is feasible, but rather doubtful. I am sure that in the future you may suddenly find some resource limitations. Better to use something else.
