What type of keyboard is best, and if possible a model name or a link to an online store?

I will say as a malicious (former) membrane worker. I resisted to the last and sat on the Roccat ISKU (it is not convex, but not flat either), a kind of ideal key in my understanding. And so everyone constantly persuaded me to take the mechanics, and I repeated d ... yes d ... the keys are convex, etc. But then, nevertheless, I went to the store and looked at all possible types of switches - these are brown, red, blue, black from cherry. And all sorts of other developments from the same steelsires or logitech.
black and brown, not much different. Hard, medium noise. Blue - they usually like it for sadness, loud, medium hardness and distinct feedback, in general, it's fun to type, but others won't like it 100%.
The red ones are the closest to the membrane, without recoil, less than average hardness and less than average noise.
But in the end, I paid attention to the Steelseries Apex M800 (because it was on black Friday xD), switches instead of 4mm, only 3mm. The keys are not so convex, close to the ISKU from roquette. The switches are quiet, and in terms of hardness they are between red and the same brown cherry. I took it - I don’t want to go back to the membrane, although I don’t feel disgust for it (I have to sit on it at work) I carry the mouse with me, but the keyboard weighs a lot: D
1 piece of advice ... Go to the store and try everything yourself. No other way. There are already exactly 10 types of these switches, and each drowns for his own. And what I or he likes * may not like you.

I think that the price of a mechanical one will not suit you
;)
Mechanically these days they are considered elite https://elitekeyboards.com/products.php?sub=topre_...
And all mass-produced ones are membrane.
There are mechanical more or less affordable - gaming.
But it's not for work.
Of the membrane, many fans of speed typing on the keyboard prefer "slim scissor".
See the forum on the Klavogonka website - this topic is discussed there.

I've been using a ThinkPad Compact USB Keyboard for many years . Feels like it's still like new.

Ali mechanics can be ordered for almost a penny. But the mechanics are very noisy. The membrane is quieter, but after it, many fap on "claudia like a poppy", she, it seems, is slim

There is no answer to your question, because. a matter of taste. Come to the store and try each type + do not forget that the keys are also different in shape (there are all kinds of enter, backspace, shift, capslock).
