Do you need Kali Linux for work/hobby, or to feel like a kir? If the latter, then take a desktop Linux distribution, not a special one, because. similar "gags" in this special distribution in bulk. If still the first, then: rus-linux.net/MyLDP/kernel/kernel-headers.html
How are you going to forward your network adapter to the virtual machine?
Kali Linux and drivers, how to be?
In fact, Kali is a normal distro, I use it myself, it pleases me more than Debian, even though Kalyuha is based on Debian. Yes, everyone starts somewhere. If everyone is so isolated in themselves and in knowledge, Linux will remain at the level of 1-2% on the desktop, and developers will continue to operate this way, refusing to release / support software for Linux.
According to the subject, there are two options:
- try the commands that you entered through sudo. I know, maybe in Nubian, because I don’t know a lot of things myself, but you can try. Although I would choose option #2;
- you find a computer flea market, in a city with a population of about 300 thousand or more - this is not a problem. Usually in such places they sell used iron and components. Among this set, ask for a wifi module for a laptop. As a rule, there is a box of such modules in the store and they give them away inexpensively, 100-300 rubles. You need a 1:1 module size, for this you need to disassemble the laptop and pull out the old module, and go to the store. Until then, go through the list of supported modules for airmon. You can check the list of suitable wifi modules for Kali. The answer to the question lies in the sections of Kali related to the wifi penetration test. I accidentally stumbled upon wifi from Intel, although it worked out for me either by broadcom or realtek. You don't need to install the driver from above. The Linux kernel will automatically pull it up at the time the OS boots.
If you use a virtual machine, then vmware is ideal. Virtual Box will not work, or you will have sex with it for a long time and it is unlikely that this will somehow be justified. In general, it is ideal to even use not a virtual machine, but real hardware. To do this, I have a separate hiking powerful laptop with Kali on board. If you are reluctant to put Kali on real hardware, then at least create a bootable flash drive from Kali and boot from it through the boot menu (when the BIOS starts - either F12, or ESC, or something else) and choose the cherished ready-made flash drive from Kali. There are a lot of guides on YouTube, the same overbafer1 or UnderMind have released a whole bunch of videos on this topic.
