JavaScript framework for Symfony?

Hello, I actually want to add some RIA on top of the Symfony backend, I used jQuery before, but it comes out with a lot of code, and clarity suffers. I tried to use Angular.js, but it conflicts with twig in syntax and it turns out to be a partial duplication of the template engine.
I would like to hear suggestions / opinions on choosing a framework - is there something better to use or just accept and work further with angular?
