JavaFx - how relevant is it for children's software?

Hello.
I very rarely use childscope software, in fact, Android Studio, Skype, Slack and the browser are all I use.
The last time I wrote software for pc was at the university, so it's a little off topic.
The task is to develop cross-platform software, the target audience is android developers, that is, most of them have java 6 / java 7 installed (the situation has been leveling off lately due to retrolymda, but not much)
How relevant is it to use JavaFx in this case? What difficulties can be expected?
I would appreciate any advice, thanks in advance

Well, actually now javaFx is one of the tools actively promoted by Oracle for plotting graphics. Use a minimum of JavaFx2, but if the 8th, then the main problem is too fresh, there are few ready-made answers if there are problems.
Better than many competitors.

I recommend that you use the latest version of JavaFx.
You can make a program with the execution environment already packaged in it, i.e. The JRE goes inside the JAR with the application.
Difficulties in any case will be (probably).
