Java + Spring: which authentication API way to use?

I am writing an API in Java + Spring stack, I have not worked on this technology before. On Node.js, PHP, Go I have been using JWT for the last couple of years. But for Spring Security, as far as I understand, this technology is not native and it is better to use something else. Is it so? And what should be used?
