Java program won't start?

This is the output in the console when trying to compile:
javac is not an internal or external command of an executable program or a batch file.
The path in the path variable seems to be registered ...
Please help me, I'm a newbie!

The whereis utility is in your hands.

$ whereis javac
javac: /usr/bin/javac /usr/share/man/man1/javac.1
