It turns off after N number of minutes, what should I do?

In general, there is a laptop (old) with Ubuntu Server 16.04 installed.
The problem is that it goes into standby / sleep / standby mode (xs what exactly).
Even if you work with it via SSH / SFTP - after a certain period of time - errors jump that the connection is lost and only one saves, this is to go to the laptop, press any key and everything works again.
Even if you put something in SSH, the laptop can safely go to sleep and, after waking up, immediately continue from the same place.
How to treat such a problem?

@Phell

Changing the BIOS parameter - CPU Frequency Mode from Dynamic to Always Low helped . Performance was not affected in any way, I definitely did not notice the difference.

I would flash the bios (as mentioned above) or reset the bios to default, or disable all energy settings

Well, maybe look at the logs? What exactly is happening, at what time; it may be possible to find out what triggers this event.
Maybe some kind of broken ACPI, in laptops this is the norm, in my experience. The BIOS should be changed, or the ACPI tables should be slipped corrected.
As long as there is no information about the problem from you, there will be no solutions either ...

Maybe Laptop Mode Tools was automatically installed by the system? You need to disable or remove the package.
