Is your gaming PC set up for heavy computing?

It is necessary to configure the PC to provide enough power for heavy computing operations. On the Internet, everyone is basically building PCs for gaming, there are many different configurations for this. Will there be enough power in gaming configurations for heavy computing operations? Will any resources be redundant?

What do you mean by "heavy computational operations"? What is planned to be calculated?
It's just that maybe we will advise you here one thing, and you will need much more computing power.

Usually the tasks are exactly the opposite. A gaming PC needs a good graphics card, and the rest is so-so. For computing, you need a lot of cores, a lot of frequency, a lot of cache, a lot of memory ... True, and a lot of money too.
The whole question is as follows ...
And what will we consider? And How? In parallel (90 percent of tasks are parallelized), or sequentially (there are some that can’t be parallelized!)?

heavy computing operations

Finger to the sky.
You need to give an example, see what exactly you think and buy according to the specified requirements.
Heavy calculations can use cpu/gpu/ram/lots of disk space. How do we know what exactly you mean by "heavy computing"?

It is worth estimating "bottle necks". What will the work be?
To the amount of memory?
In disk operations?
In network bandwidth?
Even when working on calculations, a modern processor can constantly be idle waiting for peripherals if the data being processed does not fit into its cache. For toys, a large cache is optional, but computing performance can really be improved.

And hell knows.
It all depends on the software and these very calculations.

Well, at least you need to say the amount you expect. Otherwise, do not expect any specific answer. I can assemble a PC for heavy computing and specialized programs for 800 thousand or more. And I can for 200-300 thousand. I can do the same for games. But again, it can be for a different amount, and for example, a PC for heavy computing can be worse in games than a PC for games, which costs 2-3 times less.
