Is it possible to compile a cordova application for Android using Visual Studio 2015 tools only? Or do you need to install something else? tell me what and how
Android-sdk by itself is already worth it

VS is useless here.
Install Android Studio. Install Node.js and cordova via npm. Do cordova build android on the project. Open the result from platform as a project in Android Studio. Everything can be collected and signed.
