Unity is undeniably good for gamedev, but is it really that good at building any kind of phone apps?
Are there alternatives?

Of course not. Is this some kind of joke? To create for android there is an android sdk. It is possible to use js Android applications on HTML & JS, what should I choose? and, in general, there are many ways, but writing applications on unity ... I hear this for the first time
