Find out what specific version of the M.2 connector you have in your laptop.
On my laptop 970 EVO (M.2 ver C) did not fit. it is a couple of mm wider than necessary, but 860 (M.2 ver B) would have gone in.
ps I wrote from memory, I can make mistakes in letters, so google it yourself
