Is this approach normal for working with git (storage design + code)?

Is it possible for convenience to organize the repository like this:

MyRepo
     /design/
          тут файлы нужный для дизайна(шрифты, psd, импортированные из psd картинки и т.д)
     /www/
          тут уже сам код сайта

1. Is this idea healthy?
2. How convenient it is to exchange design for a designer and layout designer and coder.
3. There is an idea for the designer to add .gitignore, in which to add the gitignore file itself and the www/ folder
Who will advise what?

Network drive/Googledrive/Dropbox. You can also attach files to tasks in the Tax Manager, then you can immediately see what's what.
There is no need to store the design in the git.
