Is there some simple utility to automatically create a network map?

There are a bunch of switches within the same broadcast, you need to remove them from the snmp mac table and build a network map based on your arp table. Everything that I managed to google is usually wildly cumbersome, most often paid and generally unnecessary.

The main problem of such programs is to remove poppies via snmp. One manufacturer, in different firmware versions, may have different methods. And then - everything is simple, run recursively through ports-vlans. Python / pearl in hand.
On business - lantopolog is quite good. It does not show some ports in the demo version. But you can run it again - it won't show others :) It's not expensive

Here only nmap (zenmap) comes to mind.
