Is there any way to configure Nautilus to open files from url?
On Windows, in the file open dialog, you can specify the url of the file on the web and it opens it. On Ubuntu in Firefox it only allows you to select only from the file system (I can't specify the url). Is there any way to set up similar functionality?

You can either search for nautilus packages in the terminal, or better in Synaptic through the nautilus search and clicking on any package, where nautilus will be in the name, in the bottom window a description of what the package is for.
