Is there any experience of a Russian company and Ukrainian programmers?

Maybe someone came across?
We have a startup. We want to release a computer game. There is an investor. Found a team of great developers in Ukraine. We started working and at some point took care of the copyright for the work. Made a contract. But the guys refuse to sign it, because Russia is a strange aggressor, and they are afraid to conclude an agreement with us.
Maybe someone has come across something similar? How did you get out of such a situation?
Thank you very much in advance!

@dimonchik2013

you suffer from
copyright nonsense and so is yours - or did the ruby team come up with the game for you?
the right to a code - you write it down in the contract,
or you don’t write it down and don’t pay (here, alas, you can’t stretch it for a long time) - there’s no contract, then
try to tell them that you are not a country but a private company, usually it should work for this level,
but it’s better to have an offshore - Cyprus, although would be or even a classic one - then paying Ukrainian entrepreneurs is very easy and convenient

@firedragon

I don’t like the USA, but I constantly write programs for them.
Actually, you find out that they are embarrassed by the fact that a Russian company or problems with tax and patriots If you send the first immediately, if the second, then I suggest
opening a company in Cyprus or there in Latvia
it's
Maybe it's just the preparation of a kidka
In general, the advantages of Ukrainian teams are that they are cheaper and they speak the same language
Cons, well, you understand they don’t talk about politics in habré

"try to tell them that you are not a country but a private company, usually it should work for such a level"
like, try to take a show off, in other words, deceive them - what is their level with their brains?
By the way, there is an opinion that many Ukrainians are smart, consider this.
Perhaps this is just preparing a kid.

As one unsuccessful Austrian artist said: "Race determines intellectual abilities"
Well, send these guys away.
we are not an aggressor country, but the conversation with a Ukrainian is short.
It feels like these are the answers of school students, moreover, everything is in the same spirit "Ukrainian is evil"
For TS:
I myself am a programmer living in Ukraine, I work with both firms and private customers .
Most likely, they do not have an official FLP / IP / LLC registration, which means that the state does not know what they receive money for. The money that a person from Russia sends can be interpreted as sponsoring terrorism, and will soon begin to attract the attention of the relevant authorities (no kidding).
But, even official registration does not guarantee protection from checks for involvement in illegal activities. These are the realities.
I am registered myself, and the amounts I receive are small, so it doesn’t really scare me. In the conditions of the team - the amounts will come in an order of magnitude higher, which may raise questions. So, as they advised here, it makes sense to conclude an agreement on behalf of a company that acts, as it were, from a country other than Russia
ps because of the advisers above, I think now I will have to be wary of customers from Russia, otherwise they will suddenly think of throwing me? I'll go first (sarcasm)
