Is there an up-to-date manual for the Cowboy web server?

I've been learning Erlang for a while, but I wanted to apply it to web development. I took a closer look at Cowboy, but I can’t find a normal manual, how for a beginner?
It costs Erlang R17 and the examples that I found crash on startup.

R17 - the latest version, just just came out; it is said to have "a few small backwards incompatible changes" that you seem to have stumbled upon. Try running these examples on earlier versions.
