Is there an access controller that has some public API?
Good afternoon!
There is a need to write a web application for access controllers that would collect data from several systems (access control and other databases) and issue the resulting reports.
There was a hitch in finding an access controller with the ability to configure it and retrieve data from it through some external API.
There was an idea to use ZKTeco, but their SDK on the site is quite specific and the examples behave strangely.

I have reviewed a lot of different ones and at the moment I am looking towards Sigur equipment.
Along the way, I also considered the Z-5R (mod. Web) from IronLogic, but I was confused in their documentation:
If the server supports ONLINE access verification, then when the card is presented, a request is made
to the server to check the permission to pass. At the same time, all other functions (events, recording cards
, etc.) work.
If it is impossible to check ONLINE, the controller (the server is unavailable or returns an error)
switches to OFFLINE mode and works with the cards stored in its memory.
The controller periodically checks the availability of the server
An open API implies some kind of standard in this area, for example, cameras have Onvif. There is an industry standard Modbus, but it is not suitable for the access controller. So you have to suffer with what the manufacturer has screwed up.
Not quite an answer to the question, but maybe as a tip.
Look for equipment that supports Onvif profile A and profile C, I won’t tell you with models.
