JetBrains Rider - paid (can be pirated, but it's easier to just install VS .Net Desktop)
Visual Studio Code - free, but the functionality is weaker
and further:
Sublime, Notepad ++ - with plugins
...
Notepad and compiling with the
ps command line, so as not to fucking lose weight, take a closer look to the installer settings. if you install only .Net Desktop, then it's not really scary at all. and a beginner usually doesn’t need anything else.
not only that - everything beyond .Net Desktop is not sanely served in any alternative environment. well, except perhaps the web direction in JetBrains Rider .. well, Visual Studio Code .. but I think it will not be comfortable for a beginner in VS Code
pps you can safely cut the starting configuration to a set
If you don't need WPF, then Rider is the best there is.
Well, the studio itself doesn’t seem to be super fat, if you don’t check all the boxes in a row, but leave only .net Core
There is no alternative.
There are side projects
Let's say for vue , react is better to use visual studio code
Well, why not, if, for example, you keep the block of the modal window in the form, position it absolutely and hide it.
