Is there a standard for codifying metro stations?

Let's say airports have 3-4 character codes like SVO, KRR. I was looking for a solution for codifying any metro station, at least in the Russian Federation (better - in the world). The only thing I found is the codes for Moscow metro stations www.metro.ru/stations/codes/ , but this is a worthless semi-finished product that no one uses. Ideally, everyone could use such a standard cross-system.
There's no such thing?

A worthless semi-finished product that no one uses
, here the question arises, where did you see any use of station codes? Personally, I don't remember anything. And here the second question arises: why is such a standard needed? No, the standard will certainly not be superfluous, but it seems that there is no such thing.

1) Why the tag "Esperanto"?
2) Should the stations of the Volgograd "metrotram" be included in the classifier?

Most likely there is no standard. Here I found the codes for London stations (see Appendix B) www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/businessandpartners/trackernet_data_services_guide_beta_0_2.pdf

Where there are not very many stations, as in Kyiv or Dnepropetrovsk / Krivoy Rog, it probably doesn’t make sense, you can get by with a banal translation of stations into English, this is not Moscow, where a guest of the city cannot do without a navigator in this puzzle.

In the Minsk metro, right on the map near each station, a number of the form [line number][station number on the branch] is written. I am sure that for internal use there are station codes in every metro. Another question is why everyone else needs it. The metro is not an airport. Again, for sure, in every metro there is a standard transcription of the names of all stations in Latin.
