Is there a software controller for the Cisco Aironet 1522?
Good day!
There are two Cisco Aironet 1522 points from the last unrealized project on which people worked, who have long been gone and there is no connection with them. Task: connect two segments of the local network by means of two points via wi-fi. The hardware controller is missing or lost, is it possible to solve the problem without it, or is it technically possible to raise the software controller? If yes, how is it implemented?
If the answer to both questions is no and you need a hardware controller, then is it needed for each of the LAN segments, or is one controller enough?
One segment is the main network, the other is a pair of workstations, possibly through a hub, there are no routers on that side.

Points can be flashed to work with the controller, and to work offline. You don't need a controller.
In order for the bridge to work decently for you, it is advisable to purchase directional antennas to these points. Also, you must have a poe injector to power these points over twisted pair.
If I were given this task, I would sell these points and take modern, easy-to-configure, antenna-integrated equipment from UBNT.
