Is there a similar modern book on PC hardware?
In the early 2000s, before building my first PC, I read O'Reilly's excellent book on PC hardware: PC Hardware: An Encyclopedia by Barbara Fritschman Thompson and Robert Bruce Thompson. She's in English.
The book was very well told about the principle of operation of certain components, what to look for when choosing, etc. Thanks to this book, I built a computer that worked for almost seven years.
Tell me, are there now similar books that consider modern hardware? I want to build myself a new PC, but I stopped monitoring computer hardware a long time ago and I had enough working laptops.
