There is an API, we talked to them and explained why we need it, the guys gave us access.
I’ll make a reservation right away that there is a limit on the number of requests per day, and the information returned by the API is not complete (but everything we asked for is there).
P.S. They didn't ask for money, in return we published links to KinoPoisk on the pages of our service.
I'm not afraid to pass for a necrophile and apnu topic.
Since October 8, 2015, Yandex.Kinopoisk has an API for requests: https://yandex.ru/support/kinopoisk/api.xml
Necroposting x2:
Imhonet API
Kinopoisk and IMDb ratings by id
Registry of films of the Ministry of Culture
If you write a parser, be prepared to constantly update it.
Kinopoisk fights scrapers by changing the page structure.
For example, on XBMC, the Kinopoisk scraper often needs to be fixed.
Sorry for the necroposting.

There is definitely no API, there is a plug-in for gcStar, which downloads the description by the name of the movie, but it sometimes misses and falls off. By the way, somewhere on Kinopoisk I saw that they would beat their hands for writing a parser :) I advise you to look towards the more loyal imhonet.ru, kinobaza.ru, etc.
According to rumors, Kinopoisk has an API, but it's paid and they don't give it to everyone.
We parsed ourselves, the parser had to be edited very often :)
In general, they already said about parsers above, if you decide to use them, there are a lot of them on github)
smog72.blogspot.ru/2013/02/kinopoiskapi.html I think it's pretty close to the topic.
But on the other hand www.kinopoisk.ru/level/76/doc/usage/ clause N6 of the rules.
Previously, there was definitely output in XML. Fairly complete information.
Look at gadgets for media centers (settings). I seem to be looking for Team MediaPortal, I found something, sorted it out, “understood everything”.
But yes, with limitations.
https://github.com/ramusus/kinopoiskpy here is an option, it works through a parser, I hope to use a new API soon
