Such entries in the server root are authorized to insert only registrars, as far as I know. The registrars always have Child NS regalia (and not "branded" as you call it). If the registrar did not support such a fashionable feature, then he went to the garden.

This is how we use it (ns1.owndomain.ru, ns2.owndomain.ru, ns3.owndomain.ru). Technical support seems to be responsive, but lately it has not been needed - everything is fine.
