Is there a demand for java on oDesk?

Hello. I had a desire to try myself on oDesk, but there are some questions. Everything is clear with android, but as for specifically java for web development. Is there a demand for java developers, if someone has experience, please tell me which what kind of orders come in, what technologies are most often used and is it possible to earn a living on this? Thank you in advance :)

Well, go to the site already and look at the vacancies in Java.
Only I will tell you right away that at first everyone works with minimally low rates and these above-mentioned 38 / ye per hour - this means that the programmer works a lot. lots of. unrealistically many and well.
And the second thing I’ll tell you is to officially withdraw money from any foreign exchange under the conditions of the laws of the Russian Federation / Ukraine - that squatting dance quest was fraught with either an administrative or a criminal offense, I don’t know how in detail, you need to look at the country’s legislation, this one the moment needs to be worked out very carefully

A friend of a Java programmer works for 38 bucks an hour, although he loves to work very much, sometimes he can work 300 hours a month, which is about $ 11,400
. In the Maldives, it may not be enough to live in a big way.
