Is there a demand for bots?
To make a website, they contact me with a certain regularity, but no one has ever asked about bots.
Who works on freelance or custom development? Does the bot market exist at all, or is it a myth?
I have already looked on the net for franchises of bot developers, but I don’t see anything among the entrepreneurs I know that at least someone would order a bot for themselves.

I have been working with completely different bots for several years now, and this is what I can say:
Rarely, but regularly, they order cryptocurrency exchange bots for messengers. Basically, the task is "copy it so that everything is like theirs."
There are also orders for bot traders, but their implementation is very dreary and they are mainly taken by those who already had experience with this before. Sometimes such orders hang for weeks.
They order bots for medium-sized businesses, auto funnels, auto-responders are also for messengers to retain a client.
Order game bots. Somewhere I saw information that some super cool game bot VKontakte brings its creator ± 100k / month.
They order entertainment for large communities, photo processing or some kind of trinket designed for teenagers.
Bots for games are probably the least ordered, but this is the level of an uncle with good money who wants to relax after work.
Even some schoolchildren cut several tens of thousands a month on this, but for this you really need to look for customers - only then you can reach stability.
Summing up, we can say that in general there are not many orders for bots in freelancing, almost no one wants unique functionality -> there are enough template services, but they are.
there are all sorts of different bots, from assistants to game bots,
bots for games (cheats, pumping) are ordered, but there is practically no money in this market, because they don’t make much money on these bots, they just have fun, so they don’t order anything expensive, some crap for $100 maximum.
trading bots - the topic of Forex has been blown away, it's like investing in some kind of MMM-2019, only a completely repulsed schizophrenic will stick in there.
remains more or less the market of assistants and services.
In e-commerce, bots are often needed to parse information and fill the store. Data is a photo of goods, information about them. I don’t know if the parser fits the definition of a bot, but from time to time I have to run this thing in order to get new products from the wholesalers site.
