I am designing a travel portal. It's time to choose an engine. I tend to Bitrix, but I have never promoted a site on this CMS. All my sites that are in the TOPs of search engines are self-written, but there are no sites on the engines at all.
One kind person told me that it is harder to promote a site in the TOP on Bitrix than a self-written one.
I understand that promotion primarily depends not on the engine, but on a huge number of other factors. But still, do search engines take into account how the site was created (on the engine or self-written)? How do search engines treat sites on Bitrix? If Search Engines do not take into account the engine on which the site was created when ranking, then what is the likelihood that this factor will be taken into account in the future?

Разницы нет. Просто одни движки больше заботятся о SEO, а другие меньше. Есть и такие, которые не заботятся вообще. В любом случае настроить можно любой из них. Поисковым системам не важно что у вас под капотом у сайта(это даже на прямую и не узнать...), им важно только наполнение вашей веб страницы, её структура, семантика... SEO это называется.

There is a technical difference, of course. For example, a site written in joomla is more difficult to promote (but not because it is bad, it's just that the CMS creates a lot of duplicate pages that have a bad effect on its ranking).

В основном как правильно заметили разница в адаптированности CMS под восприятие поисковиками. В первую очередь это URL, проблема с генерацией дублей, джумла страшный кошмар в этом плане. Но я лично полтора года продвигал сайт на самописе, который не был заточен под SEO и хлебнул с ним горя. Так что если самопис тестировали в плане seo, то все хорошо, можно его использовать. А так Битрикс на мой взгляд очень хороший вариант, большое кол-во сео модулей под разные нужды, несложны в настройке. Разве что цена кусается по сравнению с другими CMS
