Is the RAID controller working?

Guys, hello everyone.
There is a budget HP Proliant ML10 (Gen 8) server, I plug the HP Smart array p400 hardware raid controller into it into the PCI x8 port, it turns on, but is not detected anywhere, although the processor on the controller itself is heated, the external battery through the wire to the raid glows , i.e. it seems like a raid worker. Where to dig?

I wanted to update the BIOS on the server, but it seems like they are paid (I did not figure out how to do this).

Go to iLO and check that the controller is defined. If there is a valid service contract, contact support for help.
