Is the matrix in a laptop a monitor?

Does the laptop have a monitor? Or is it technically just a matrix connected to the controller built into the laptop? If this can still be called a monitor, then can we say that a smartphone has a monitor?

Matrix is not. But the matrix with the controller - yes. With some diligence, you can even connect this case from a dead laptop to some computer and use it as a monitor.

Personally, I believe that the matrix is not a monitor.
You can talk about this topic for a long time, but I think it will be enough for the fact that the Monitor (Device) has its own power supply.
In a laptop, the matrix is powered by a common power supply that powers the rest of the devices.
IMHO.
