Is the MacBook Pro good for 3D modeling (and animation)?
I'm a graphic designer and at the moment I'm thinking about buying a new laptop, on which I plan to start doing 3D modeling and animation, to try myself in these areas.
Now I have a laptop on Windows, everything suits me, but I noticed a lot of pluses of MacOS, because of which I would like to switch to this system.
How good is a MacBook Pro (in a good configuration, about 230,000 rubles) for 3D modeling? With animation and video editing, everything is fine there, as far as I understand. How well are they doing this? + I read that there is no 3dsMax on MacOS, but for me this question is not fundamental now.
Just please answer as to exactly 3D modeling (and animation) on the MacBook, and not about which is better Windows or MacOS
PS I know that desktop solutions, both macOS and Windows, are better than laptops, but portability is important to me

Responsible and categorical NO.
Just to understand the basics, etc., of course, you can take the plug on the 19th-20th exclusively in the top.
BUT, the mac is no longer (and won't be in the near future) with Nvidia graphics cards, and 3D just needs CUDA (Graphics Processor Computing) technology, which only Nvidia has.
But I assure you, 230k rubles can be spent much more competently ... than on a poppy.
Yes, beautiful, but you get used to it, but it’s convenient, but it’s portable. But no, not for graphics. And certainly not for 3D.
I have Macbook Pro 19th. i7, radeon 555, 16GB, 512 ssd is there - a trite site layout with a lot of smart objects and words stupidly lags when scrolling through the layout, although a home PC (for TV series), which in all respects should be worse - copes with a bang. (I’m still silent about the fact that the layout is not in 2x retina. The same layout in retina may not open at all).
Somehow I downloaded a mockup of neon lines for fsh - so he did not open it. It got hot like a stove and never opened. But that "shnyaga" for serials is easy.
18-20 years have already objectively shown that the Mac is simply beautiful and powerful in places, almost, only where possible (Davinci, Prime Minister
) bootcamp + use eGPU. And this eGPU costs as much as the poppy itself ...
We summarize:
For training - you can, but then you want more, you will understand that primitive glass lags.
For professional work - no.
To make money, definitely not.
For real work, etc., they assemble fucking machines that heat your whole house)))

It is quite suitable, but it depends on the software that you will use, because not all of them are available for Mac. But under the Mac, there are still enough good programs for modeling and animation.
You will regret in time that you bought a Mac for 3D modeling. You will spend a lot of time searching for and installing plugins and software that only work on Windows. Accordingly, not everything can be installed. You will tear your hair out on your head, because you will not be able to work with top renderers, because they work on CUDA technologies. And CUDA is only on NVidia video cards, which are not in Mac. In general - some dances with a tambourine, which take a lot of time and not always everything works out, and time is the most precious thing we have after health.
I switched to laptops on Windows, I'm happy as an elephant - I give all the time to work. There are no more problems.
The choice is yours !
You have opened the binary with notepad. This is the worst thing to do. If you really want to, you can dig with HEX editors. Usually the format of a file is determined by the first few bytes. You can google them and probably find nothing.
In general, the best way is to google for the name of the game.
