Is the design of toster and other Habra projects unique?

"The desire to be in trend has brought unfortunate designers to the point that they began to copy each other. Thus, the "flat" design acquired recognizable features: "foggy" lilac, green, pink and other colors, flat controls, Proxima Nova font, underlined links , a lot of empty space, no complex effects, square photos, etc. The copying got to the point that LayerVault demanded that GitHub block a page with a set of "Flat UI" prefabricated elements that another Designmodo company "borrowed" from LayerVault."
Question.
Is the design unique and how do you feel about it?
Thank you in advance for your reply, colleagues.

I will answer the question with a question - do Audi and Mercedes have a unique design? After all, if you look at the whole, everything seems to be the same - wheels, doors, even the color is the same.
In my opinion, it is the same here - the set of components may even be completely identical, but the sites made on its basis are unique.
And the attitude... For my taste, this design is more like a trend of the month / year, i.е. now in vogue. I personally do not like most of these sites, but rather because of the bad taste of their authors who only seek to follow fashion.
The design of habrahabra projects is “heavy” for me, you need to periodically think about where to poke (for comparison, the initial freelance design for me is light, airy and understandable, what is now like a whim of fashion is original but does not catch on for a long time)

I'm more concerned with the issue of usability on such resources. And I like the usability of the toaster. I just can't get used to the horizontal line between the question and the answers. It was introduced later.
And there was some confusion at the very beginning with the menu.
And so, it is necessary to separate the flies from cutlets, people come to the toaster not for inspiration in terms of design, but for answers to questions. Therefore, my answer to how I feel about non-uniqueness is that I don’t give a damn in this case.
If the issue is not closed, then a lot of people dissatisfied with habra, toaster and other TM projects will come running here. Let me ask you a question in advance - what are you doing here then? )

By the way, yes, plus @iiil @Ivnika , the design is really not the ideal usability. Though, stackoverflow isn't zen either. I still can’t get used to this damned menu, because it’s not clear where the questions are, where the answers are, where the tracker is. Sometimes you go to the page, looking for where to click and realized that you got to the wrong place. Moreover, the "rule of three clicks" does not work (when you can get from anywhere to anywhere in no more than three clicks), it must have been interpreted as a rule of three pages, because to get to the page with mentions you need to make exactly three clicks, on the link is no longer enough. Also, a very strange subscription system, but it looks more like offtopic.
About the design... Here's how to say, now the trend is large icons, floating elements, pop-up menus and little text. In general, it is logical, especially since the text is there, it's just hidden. The color scheme is not the best for my taste. But you get used to it.
Attitude? Usability is annoying, but as I said, you get used to the design. And the fact that all designs look the same is a lie and slander. Only the toaster and freelancing (after the redesign) are similar, although I no longer use the latter, because it makes no sense to pay for orders once every two months. Brainstorage is also somewhat similar, but not much. Habr is not similar at all - for how many years the design has hardly been updated, except for the fact that the content is on the left, and on the right there are a cloud of sheet widgets with links to relevant articles, questions, vacancies ...

While all sites are switching to flat, Facebook, on the contrary, made a header with a gradient. Even Twitter and Google switched to a flat style, I think just like that, such giants would not have switched to it, but again, everything was ruined by Facebook, which went against the system))
And with regards to the design of the toaster, I really like it.
