Batteries

Is the battery dead or does it need special care?

I use an old battery operated mouse. After a few hours after charging, it starts to blunt supposedly discharged. If you put the batteries for a day and do not touch it, it will work for several days. wtf?

@ruplace

Lithium-ion usually suffer from such bullshit. If they are not older than three years. Their controller starts to fail. It usually also helps to carry out a full discharge and a full charge a couple of times. But a very old battery does not hold the required current due to the physical destruction of the material.
