Is the aliexpress led strip safe for home use?

Quite a simple question, but I did not find any information on the Internet. But the question is. I bought a very cheap tape with a block and a remote control, everything visually suits me, I placed it on the furniture edging behind it. But now I’m thinking whether it’s worth turning it off at night until I control the situation, or there’s nothing to ignite here.
PS: I’m not very handy, I recently twisted a simple diode panel with a sconce switch and a plug, I decided to make it for the aquarium, after half a year the contacts loosened and a short circuit occurred, as a result, charred wallpaper where there were contacts, from this I have fears about the tape.

Be sure to keep an eye on the power supply! It happens that through the plastic case, the temperature does not seem so high to the touch, but at this time there is a real stove inside. I opened one such block, so the board was already charred there, the tracks flew off, the keys were partially soldered, the legs of the electrolytic capacitors fell off. Creepy picture. By some miracle, all this did not catch fire, but even continued to work (the tape glowed), only powerful interference spread around. And formally, the load corresponded to the parameters of the block.
As I saw this, now I try to take power supplies of an "industrial" design - in metal perforated cases. Cooling is better. And I'll make sure nothing gets in there. Well, power with a large correction for "Chinese watts" must be chosen.

It was not worth taking a very cheap one, it is likely that it will quickly deteriorate, the diodes will go out.
Therefore, it is not necessary to mount it tightly, it is worth considering options for replacing it in half a year with a good one.

If you're worried, turn it off. The main rule of cheap goods is that the miser pays twice!
