Is SSD cache possible for LVM in ProxMox (without crutches)?

Situation: the organization's budget does not allow purchasing a full-fledged RAID controller.
I'm looking for a way to make an SSD cache from 2 SATA disks on a virtualization server for soft raid-1.
I know that VMware has such an opportunity, but so far there is no desire to switch to it.
I know that SSD cache support is implemented in CentOS 7, but is oVirt the only way to create virtualization in the web interface?
Now there is ProxMox, ideally it would be not to change the platform. But I am ready to consider any options that are not picky about the hardware.

LVM itself already knows how to cache - https://rwmj.wordpress.com/2014/05/22/using-lvms-n...
