Is remote work for a C# application programmer real?

I have extensive programming experience, I can independently build architecture and write applications from scratch, I have a lot of developments in distributed computing, neural networks, working with databases, etc.
But I don’t like the Web, for some reason fussing with html and css does not lie in my soul. On freelance projects under windows, count on the fingers. In this connection, the question is, is it realistic to find a job remotely as a programmer of application programs / server applications?

Now almost all projects with a scale of medium and higher are carried out by separate backend and frontend development teams, so I don’t see any problems, just look for vacancies as a backend specialist, and not as a fullstack.
There is a huge amount of work of this kind, it's just a level higher than the Hindu ads like "I need a copy of website ...".
If you have problems finding freelance back-end work, which is strange, then try either to get a job in a company remotely, or work for several months in the office, and then ask to work remotely, in normal companies, a back-end specialist will never be forced to poke around in css.
If you don’t like the web at all, even from the server side, then everything is sad, the freelancing desktop direction is almost dead.

Two acquaintances work remotely as applied and mobile .Net developers.
Last week we received an interesting offer to work remotely as a BackEnd developer.
So there are no problems with work. Go to a few conferences, join LinkedIn, and the job will find you.

I don’t know how it is on Russian-language exchanges, but there are a lot of projects for c# on foreign (oDesk, Elance) projects. But as it was correctly noted above, narrow specialization is mainly required, few people need fullstack. C# mobile development is also gaining popularity thanks to Unity and Xamarin.
