Is real-time shooter on android real?
Actually, what will be the delays, is it really possible to play something like quake3 from an android over the network? I mean not via wi-fi, but via 3g internet?

Well, there are such games.
Shadowgan Deadzone from Madfingers - finally only multiplayer
DeadTrigger - there is multiplayer
Modern Kombat 3 from Gameloft - there is multiplayer
Nova from Gameloft - there is multiplayer
+ I personally played Quake 3 Droid
For me, it's a matter of implementation.
if you correctly synchronize with the server, it will be fine.
for example, WoW is quite normal for 3g
depends on the quality of 3g, if you find a good signal, then you can play, I tried it a couple of times - it's fine, but the dynamics there were lower than in quake3.
there are network shooters for android, but apparently they earn little compared to chickens and ropes, and therefore are not very common on android devices.
The quality of 3g leaves much to be desired, sitting on the bus (Moscow) I can’t even play poker - the socket falls off all the time. We have not only 3g, but also free wifi leaves much to be desired, even in a chocolate shop / McDonald's sometimes 3g works faster than their wifi)
so shooters in our country, I think only at home on the couch with good home wifi)
