Old but better than nothing. I would look at 15 more of the same year, maybe there are options in your budget too? As a rule, for such old devices, the price does not practically differ. But there i7 percent is 4x nuclear, it is much faster than 13k, even in comparison with 13kami up to the 18th year with stock i5. If there is not enough RAM (there will be 8 for example) - there you can still deliver it yourself, used memory is a penny now. I myself worked on this, my first macbook was exactly 2012 with a matte screen (then you could install it for an extra charge, if you find one - just top for programming).
