Is Macbook air 13 2017 good for web programming in 2019?

I am studying web development, now I am studying JavaScript and its frameworks, and since I do not have enough experience in this field, I would like to ask experienced developers whether it is normal or not to code on air 2017 in 2019? I am not so much confused by the dual-core percent or TN screen, but by the fact that many people say that the laptop is "morally obsolete". I often hear that laptops are bought by power with a margin, can someone explain what is meant? I understand that video editing programs are being updated there, games are becoming heavy, but I need a certain set of programs (vscode, photoshop for cutting layouts, working with git, assemblers), do they really update so quickly, that after a couple of years I won't be able to work with them? Or maybe I will have to deal with other more powerful programs in the future as a web developer? I plan to take it as the main machine, possibly with the purchase of a second monitor. Therefore, I would not want to get into trouble and take a calculator, although I do not demand that everything “fly”, the main thing for me is stability and comfort. Many thanks in advance for the answer and forgive me for the perhaps banal question :)

Macbook pro 2010 suits me, the main thing is to add operatives to the full and replace hvv with ssd. phpStorm, webpacks, everything flies, I was surprised myself :) but this is purely my IMHO, I don’t impose on anyone

Don't listen to bucket growers, take a MacBook and don't worry. I myself work on exactly the same poppy (also 2017). Very smart and much more productive than analogues on Windows. (due to macOS). There can be no question of any moral obsolescence, especially in web development. no tired eyes. In general, everything flies, take it, you will not regret it)
